Founded in 1965 by George Zerby in Cleveland, Ohio, Strapping and Seals Incorporated (S&S) started by providing steel strapping solutions to industries like railroads, construction, and textiles. In the 1970s, Dan Kunes expanded S&S by introducing automation technologies and strengthening customer relationships through hands-on demonstrations.
By the 1980s, S&S grew with advanced logistics and joined key industry groups in the 1990s to enhance inventory management and maintenance programs. The 2000s saw innovation with the patented Flower Forwarder system designed by Jim Carbone, and in 2016, under new leadership by Paul Nared and Gary Krupa, S&S navigated industry challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2025, S&S launched PolyFilm Guy, combining decades of experience with Jim Carbone’s 35 years in polyfilm expertise. This division delivers sustainable, high-performance film solutions tailored to evolving industry needs.
